• is conducting public meetings, scholarly seminars, etc. on historical and contemporary issues with relation to the labour movement.
  
• is sponsoring, together with the Museum of Work and the Archive and Library of the Labour Movement in Copenhagen, the yearly Labour History Prize for young scholars.
  
• is a membership-organisation, open to anybody with an interest in the history of the labour movement and the working class, in Denmark as well as internationally
  
• is politically independent. It is lead by a board, elected yearly by the members.
